The Education University of Hong Kong Annual Report 2024-2025 46 Towards an Inclusive and Sustainable Community 邁向共融與可持續的社群 Care for Elders In order to replenish the body, mind and soul of senior citizens living in the Tai Po community, the University initiated the EdUHK SDG Living Laboratory @ Tai-po project in 2024, which has since established longterm partnerships with 12 district councillors, nine care teams and five community organisations. 關懷長者 為滋養大埔區長者的身心靈安康,教大於二零二四年啟 動「教大可持續發展生活實驗室」項目,與十二位區議 員、九支關愛隊及五個社區組織,建立長期夥伴關係。 ‘The EdUHK SDG Living Laboratory @ Tai-po–Community Well-being’ project opening ceremony 教大舉行「可持續發展生活實驗室 — 社區健康」開幕禮 A rich array of initiatives was put in place, including fitness and braintraining workshops, which attracted nearly 300 seniors and offered tips on fitness, exercise safety and tailored exercise plans. Cognitive and auditory screenings were also performed for some 1,000 seniors to identify those showing signs of declined cognitive functions, with advice given on their physical activity, diet and nutrition. Those at risk of dementia have been referred to local organisations and the EdUHK longevity research cluster for training and medical or community-based follow up. Additionally, the screening examined and promoted balanced food intake through a state-of-the-art nutrition monitoring system. 我們推出一系列豐富舉措,包括舉辦健體強腦工作坊, 吸引近三百位長者參與,並提供健身要訣、運動安全 指引及訓練專案。另為一千多名長者進行認知及聽力篩 查,識別認知功能衰退徵兆,亦就其身體活動、飲食及 營養提供建議,並將存在癡呆症風險的長者轉介至本地 機構及教大長壽研究集群接受訓練、治療或社區跟進。 此外,項目更採用先進的營養監測系統,檢視長者是否 維持均衡飲食,並推廣健康飲食習慣。
