香港教育大學 2024-2025 年報 35 Forging Strong Partnerships 建立緊密的夥伴關係 At The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), we believe that collaboration is the cornerstone of progress and innovative excellence. As the city’s leading university of teacher education, we boldly blaze a trail in education and transdisciplinary innovation and achieve global renown by asserting our thought leadership in education and beyond. Seizing the vast opportunities presented by the nation’s rapid development, the University proactively forges alliances with leading institutions at local, national and global levels. From the bustling Greater Bay Area (GBA), thriving corridors under the Belt and Road Initiative to the farthest reaches of the globe, we are expanding our horizons, turning our aspirations into reality, and inspiring a global community committed to innovation, intercultural cooperation and learning, and social impact. Furthermore, by drawing the world’s best and brightest to our home city through targeted scholarships, exchange schemes and creation of an eclectic, inclusive academic environment, we contribute to the ‘Study in Hong Kong’ brand established by the Hong Kong SAR government, which envisions Hong Kong as an international hub for higher education that propels the nation’s educational development. Driving Innovation in the Greater Bay Area In March 2025, EdUHK, in collaboration with South China Normal University and the University of Macau, co-established the GuangdongHong Kong-Macao University Alliance for Primary and Secondary STEAM Education to develop a cross-institutional and cross-disciplinary STEAM education model for primary and secondary schools in the region, and cultivate interdisciplinary teaching skills of student teachers in its member schools. The strategic alliance exemplifies our proactive approach to shaping the educational topography and grooming talents for delivering STEAM education in the GBA. Through our collaborative efforts, we hope to significantly boost the quality of education in the region, ultimately contributing to the nation’s vision of becoming a global leader in education and innovation. A Nationwide Commitment Our aspirations go beyond the GBA to cover the full extent of the Chinese Mainland, where academic luminaries and esteemed seats of learning inspire us to dream bigger and aim higher. This year, we forged a series of strategic partnerships that accentuate our unwavering dedication to shaping global citizens and future leaders. Among them is the partnership with China Foreign Affairs University – the renowned cradle of Chinese diplomats – that marks an important step in expanding the scope of international relations and Chinese foreign affairs education in Hong Kong.
