香港教育大學 2024-2025 年報 33 Impactful Research for a Better World 卓越研究 共建美好世界 Our efforts also extend to social innovation. EdUHK has secured recurrent funding of HK$1.6 million from the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund to support our Fund for Innovation, Technology, and Social Well-being. This initiative advances the translation of our intellectual property into social impact projects, including social robots for learning, vision care solutions, speech training for children with autism spectrum disorder, and physical activity programmes for older adults. Building on our momentum, our teams excelled in the 2025 Hong Kong Techathon+, a flagship annual intervarsity entrepreneurship competition. Co-organised by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and 15 leading local universities and institutions, the event drew over 1,800 participants from Hong Kong SAR; Macao SAR; Taiwan, China; the Chinese Mainland; Malaysia; Singapore; Thailand and the United States of America. Our students did us proud, taking home a gold and two merits in the open group category for digital economy, and a bronze in the smart cities student group category, truly highlighting the energy and creativity flowing within EdUHK’s innovation community. 我們亦同樣努力推動社會創新。教大獲「社會創新及創 業發展基金」撥款一百六十萬港元經常性資助，用於支 持本校「創新科技社會福利基金」項目。此舉有助將教 大的知識產權轉化為具社會影響力的項目，包括利用社 交機器人學習、提供視力護理方案、為患有自閉症譜系 障礙的兒童提供語言訓練，以及為長者提供體能訓練 等。 乘 勢 而 上， 教 大 團 隊 在 二 零 二 五 年「Hong Kong Techathon+」表現出色。該項創科盛事由香港科技園公 司及香港十五間頂尖大學及專上院校共同主辦，匯聚了 來自香港特區、澳門特區、中國台灣、中國內地、馬來 西亞、新加坡、泰國及美國等地超過一千八百名參賽 者。我們的學生不負眾望，在公開組「數字經濟」主題 中斬獲金獎一項、優異獎兩項，在學生組「智慧城市」 主題中則摘得銅獎一項，成績亮麗，充分展現教大創新 社群的活力與創意。
