香港教育大學 2024-2025 年報 13 Diverse Talents for Our Futures 多元專才 成就未來 Cultivating AI and Digital Competency The 21st century is a whirlwind of technological innovations and advancements – mastering digital skills becomes essential for one to thrive in the future world of study and work. In a bid to encourage students to integrate and apply the digital competencies they have acquired throughout their studies, EdUHK pioneered a new capstone project pathway on AI and emerging technologies, which was piloted in undergraduate programmes for heritage education and arts management, English studies and digital communication, AI and educational technology, and sports science and coaching. On the teaching front, committed to advancing education through innovative practices, the University launched the Large Language Model Studio in the latter half of 2024 to provide academic and teaching staff with a sophisticated platform and tailored trainings to harness the power of the natural language processing tools for their teaching. Students also actively utilised the Studio to develop their projects, enhancing their learning experience and digital proficiency. Thinking without Bounds Interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary development is the mark of the interconnected times we inhabit, and we want our students to leverage the abounding opportunities presented by such exhilarating times through equipping them with knowledge and skills straddling diverse subjects. Buttressing book learning with hands-on experience, our Experiential Learning Courses encourage students to learn through doing. The courses on entrepreneurship and innovation, for instance, were fully implemented in the year under review, taken by a total of 700 students. In addition, we have revamped all our bachelor’s programmes for education into double degree programmes, combining education degrees with other professional disciplines. This approach provides students with multiple pathways to pursue teaching alongside another career, ensuring they develop strong disciplinary expertise to support their teaching aspirations and future endeavours. At undergraduate and postgraduate levels, we have been unstinting in our efforts to curate new programmes for burgeoning fields that play a pivotal role in the city, the country and the world’s advancement. Among them, the bachelor’s programmes for personal finance and speech pathology and rehabilitation are the first of their kind in Hong Kong. 培育人工智能及數碼能力 二十一世紀是技術創新與發展的浪潮之巔 — 掌握數碼 技能成為個體投入未來學習與工作的關鍵。為鼓勵學生 融合並應用所學到的數碼知識,教大率先推出人工智能 與新興技術相關的全新總整專案路徑,並以文化傳承教 育與藝術管理、英語研究及數碼傳訊、人工智能與教育 科技、運動科學及教練等本科課程為試點。在教學方 面,大學致力以創新實踐推動教育前行,並於二零二四 年下半年推出大語言模型工作室,為學術及教學人員提 供先進平台及定製培訓,並助力其運用自然語言處理工 具賦能教學。學生也積極利用該工作室展開專題研究, 提升學習體驗與數碼能力。 突破思維疆界 在這個萬物互聯的時代,跨學科與多元學科發展是我們 這個時代的鮮明特徵。我們通過裝備學生多元學科的知 識與技能,讓他們善用時代賦予的寶貴機遇。我們的體 驗式學習課程把書本知識與實踐相結合,鼓勵學生「邊 做邊學」。例如,本年度已全面開設創新創業課程,共 有七百名學生參與。 此外,我們已將所有教育學士學位課程整合為雙學位課 程,讓教育學位與其他專業學科相結合。此舉為學生提 供從事教學與其他職業發展的多元路徑,確保他們建立 學科專長,為實現教學理想與未來發展奠定基礎。 在本科與研究生層面,我們不遺餘力地為新興領域打造 全新課程,這些領域對香港、國家乃至全球的發展具有 關鍵作用。其中個人理財與言語病理學及復康學士課程 均為香港首創。
