香港教育大學 2023-2024 年報 33 Environment and sustainability Over 1,000 primary students and teachers from schools in the Greater Bay Area (including local schools) participated in the 26th Primary STEAM Project Exhibition, held by EdUHK and other organisations at the Hong Kong Central Library. The theme of this year’s exhibition was climate change, and students conducted research on the natural disasters it causes and the consequences, such as extreme weather events, food security and risks to biodiversity. They applied the content knowledge and STEAM-related methods to propose innovative improvement strategies. Additionally, a symposium on how to transition to a green lifestyle was held by the UNEVOC Centre (Hong Kong) on the University’s campus, with support from the UNESCO Beijing office. It was attended by educators and students, as well as people from industry and youth organisations. The participants examined the role of education in supporting the implementation of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and discussed creating joint projects to identify shared strategies and solutions, as well as promotional activities, to raise student and public awareness. On campus, with the support fromtheHong Kong Jockey Club, a series of green activities for promoting sustainability were implemented, including the installation of smart electricitymeters and behaviour-activated shower heads in student hostels. The Sustainable Campus Leadership Programmewas also launchedwith different campaigns and competitions organised to promote environmental awareness of the campus stakeholders. To facilitate the shift to electric vehicles, more charging points have been installedwith the aimof reducing the University’s carbon footprint. Solar panels and solar wind lamps have also been installed for the generation of clean energy and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 環境與可持續發展 超過一千名來自本地及大灣區的小學師生參加了由教大 聯同多間機構於香港中央圖書館合辦的第二十六屆「常 識百搭」小學STEAM探究展覽。本屆展覽以氣候變遷為 題,學生們就氣候變遷引發的自然災害及其影響進行探 究,研究題目包括極端天氣、糧食安全及生物多樣性所 面臨的威脅等。學生們應用不同的學科知識和STEAM相 關方法,提出多項新的改善方案。 此外,聯合國教科文組織國際職業技術教育培訓中心 (香港)在聯合國教科文組織北京辦事處(教科文組織) 的支持下,於教大校園舉辦了關於轉型綠色生活方式的 研討會,吸引教育工作者、學生,以及行業代表和青年 組織參與。與會者探討了教育在支持聯合國可持續發展 目標過程中所扮演的角色,並討論創建合作項目,制定 共享的策略和解決方案,以提高學生和公眾意識的推廣 活動。 在香港賽馬會的支持下,教大在校園舉辦了一系列促進 可持續發展的綠色活動,包括在學生宿舍安裝智能電錶 及行為偵測花灑頭。「可持續校園領袖計劃」亦已啟動, 透過舉辦多項活動和比賽加強校園持份者的環保意識。 為推動電動車的使用,校園內亦加裝了更多充電設施, 以減少本校的碳足跡。校園內還安裝了太陽能板和太陽 能風能混合路燈,以產生潔淨能源,減少溫室氣體排 放。
