The Education University of Hong Kong Annual Report 2023-2024 18 New academies and centres As part of this initiative, EdUHK established two academies, the Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education Futures (AAPSEF) and the Academy for Educational Development and Innovation (AEDI). Comprising specialised centres, they have been created to better synergise our interdisciplinary expertise, and therefore serve as hubs of excellence to further extend our research impact in Hong Kong and beyond. Areas covered by the academies’ centres range from artificial intelligence and digital competency education to national security and legal education; and from Chinese and multilingual education development to research on the Finnish education system. 新設學院及中心 為配合創新舉措，教大成立了兩所學院，分別為「應用政策 研究及教育未來學院」及「教育發展與創新學院」。這兩所學 院的建立致力創造學科之間協同效應，增強中心之間及跨學 科合作，繼而發展成為卓越樞紐，進一步擴大教大在香港乃 至全球的研究影響力。學院及研究中心所涵蓋的領域廣泛， 包括人工智能及數碼能力教育、國家安全與法律教育、漢語 及多語教育發展，以及芬蘭教育研究。 Strengthening students’ employability A Strategy for Enhancing Undergraduate Student Employability was developed in January 2024, articulating four strategic areas to promote concerted efforts among faculties, the Student Affairs Office and programmes to enhance the employment prospects of our graduates, particularly graduates targeting employment in sectors other than education.
