香港教育大學 2022-2023 年報 25 Community Partnership 夥伴合作 Supporting those with special educational needs (SEN) is another key area in which the University can make a substantial contribution. In July 2023, the first cohort of SEN students graduated from the University’s Jockey Club Youth Academy for Special Educational Needs – the first of its kind in Hong Kong to provide tailor-made training courses for SEN students to learn a variety of life skills, including career planning, sports and fitness training, adventure education and music education. The Academy helps them achieve their dreams of continuous learning, on a university campus. During the year, the University and its partners launched a fund-raising campaign to sustain EdUHK’s SEN initiatives, promote inclusiveness and increase public awareness. Along with special needs, the University supports the wider community by promoting pleasurable learning and developing learning resources for students, teachers and parents. Following the success of the previous animated series, which have accumulated over 10 million views to date, the University launched four new projects during the year, covering classical Chinese, English language learning, STEAM and character education in English.
