香港教育大學 2022-2023 年報 21 Research and Knowledge Transfer 研究及知識轉移 2017 The World Bank project was awarded to EdUHK in 2017, with the University’s expert team providing the World Bank and selected comprehensive universities in Vietnamwith consultancy services and advice to tie in with the country’s tertiary education reform agenda. Work began on two University-level research facilities – one for data science and artificial intelligence, and the other covering human behavioural neuroscience – which will open in the last quarter of 2023. The new research facilities will provide state-of-the-art technological platforms for principal investigators, students and research personnel. They will also help develop multidisciplinary collaboration and foster a crossdisciplinary research culture for applying for large-scale research grants and producing high-quality research output. In a strategic initiative to attract research talent from different parts of the world, the University introduced a new rank of Research Assistant Professors, whose role is to integrate technology with pedagogy using a cross-disciplinary approach, and to secure external competitive grants and produce high-quality research.
