The Education University of Hong Kong Annual Report 2022-2023 20 Research and Knowledge Transfer 研究及知識轉移 The latest educational technologies and innovative products developed by EdUHK experts were on display at the EdTech Innovations Salon in June 2023, which attracted over 400 stakeholders and industry players. It provided a platform for our award-winning scholars to showcase their inventions in a wide range of areas, including language, music, sports and special education, AI and the metaverse, as well as green and health technologies. Going hand in hand with inventions is entrepreneurship, which is part of our core values in converting ideas into real-world solutions. The 202223 edition of the Education+ and Social Entrepreneurs Fund (EASE Fund) saw a record number of 39 participants competing for six awards. The winners received entrepreneurial support worth HK$2 million in funding, including seed capital, professional guidance, training and resources. This year’s competition also featured the first-ever collaboration with Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, allowing 10 selected start-up teams to be based at Hong Kong Science Park.
