If necessary, additional meetings may be scheduled. To enhance communications with staff and students, Council papers and confirmed Council minutes which are classified as non-confidential are posted on the University’s intranet. Summaries of matters considered, discussed and approved at Council Meetings are published in iConnect, the University’s eNewsletter for staff and students. Council Members are involved in the University’s affairs through meetings of the Council, Council Committees and ad hoc working groups, and participation in the University’s many activities and functions. Hence, the information of individual Members about their attendance at meetings of the Council and its standing Committees during the financial year 2021-22 does not fully reflect their involvement in the University’s affairs, as some Members may have been absent frommeetings to represent the University in other functions. The attendance record of Council Members in 2021-22 at Council and Council Committee meetings can be viewed on the University’s website. Biographies of Council Members are set out in Appendix. In 2021-22, there was no contract of significance for the provision of services or goods to the University or the subsidiary of the University in which a Council Member or Committee Member is or was materially interested, either directly or indirectly. Academic Board The Academic Board (“AB”) is the chief academic forum of the University with the President as the Chairperson. The AB comprises members from faculties, academic departments, academic support units and students. The main function of the AB is to formulate academic policies and oversee all academic matters of the University. To realise this function, an infrastructure of boards and committees is set up to deal with different academic decisions within the University. The quorum and procedures of the AB meetings are governed by its Rules of Procedure. It met ten times during the academic year 2021/22. 校董會通常在每個學術年度舉行四次會議，若有需要， 則會安排額外的會議。為加強與教職員及學生的溝通， 不屬機密類別的校董會文件及經確認的會議紀錄，會經 本校內聯網公佈。此外，會議議案、討論事項撮要及已 通過事項，亦會刊載於本校電子期刊iConnect，以供師 生閱覽。 校董會成員透過出席校董會、校董會轄下各常設委員會 和臨時工作小組的會議，以及參加本校眾多不同的活 動，參與本校事務。因此，二零二一至二二財政年度， 各校董會成員出席校董會及其轄下常設委員會會議的 出席率，並不能全面反映各成員參與本校事務的實際情 況，因有部分校董會成員或須出席，或參與本校其他活 動和事務而缺席有關會議。 二零二一至二二年度校董會成員出席校董會及其轄下委 員會會議的紀錄，可於大學網站瀏覽。至於各人的簡 介，則列於附錄。 二零二一至二二年度內，校董會成員或其轄下委員會成 員，並沒有與本校或其附屬機構簽訂提供服務或貨品的 重要合約，或涉及其中任何直接或間接的重大利益。 教務委員會 教務委員會是本校最高學術議會，由校長出任主席，成 員包括學院、學系、學術支援單位代表及學生。教務委 員會主要職能是負責制訂學術政策及監督本校所有學術 事務。為執行職能，其轄下設有多個委員會，處理本校 不同範疇的學術決策事宜。教務委員會會議的法定人數 及程序均受該會的程序規則所規管。該委員會於二零 二一至二二年度舉行了十次會議。
