Another similar project attracted over 1,000 SEN students, who participated in more than 50 online thematic activities, some of which were converted into online learning resources. As for the elderly, special attention was given to their emotions and mental well-being during the pandemic. The University’s Elder Academy organised online talks and interest classes from April to June 2022, in collaboration with non-governmental organisations, to provide learning opportunities for homebound seniors and to alleviate loneliness aggravated by social distancing. At the community level, a life and values education initiative was organised, emphasising the virtues of traditional Chinese culture, as well as physical and psychological well-being. A cross-disciplinary expert team produced a 15-episode video series on related topics, covering tai chi, martial arts, ancient Chinese poems, physical exercise and selfregulation. The Student Affairs Office also collaborated with a youth service centre to hold a month-long ‘Positive Education Festival – Plug & Unplug’ to raise youth awareness of mental health and to promote positivity in the community. Over 1,900 secondary and university students took part in a range of online activities on positive education.
