Research and Knowledge Transfer 研究與知識轉移 香港教育大學 2021-2022 年報 23 International recognition Our investment in research has paid off locally and globally. For the past eight consecutive years, the University has remained among the top three in Asia and the top 20 in the world in education, according to the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings by Subject. As for individual faculty members, 29 EdUHK researchers were ranked among the top 2% of the world’s Most-cited Scientists in 2020, in a list compiled by Stanford University. Their research covered 12 disciplines, including education, environmental sciences, mathematics, science and social sciences. Furthermore, 20 academics were ranked in the top 2% in citations for their published research throughout their careers to date. Our innovations were also acclaimed, with 21 awards garnered at international invention and innovation competitions. Research funding During the year, the University secured over HK$20 million in funding under the annual General Research Fund (GRF), the Early Career Scheme (ECS), and the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme (HSSPFS). EdUHK came first again in the discipline of education, in terms of both the number of funded projects and the awarded amount. Together with newly funded GRF, ECS and HSSPFS projects, our academic team is working on 179 ongoing projects with total funding of over HK$148 million in a wide range of disciplines and subjects, including education, social sciences, psychology and linguistics, and humanities and arts. 國際認可 教大在研究方面的資源投放，在本地和海外已見成果。 本校連續八年於QS世界大學學科排名教育領域名列亞 洲三甲，躋身全球前二十位。另外，本校二十九名學者 榮登美國史丹福大學公布之二零二零全球排名首2%科 學家名單，研究範疇涵蓋十二個學科，包括教育、環 境科學、數學、科學和社會科學等。此外，二十名學者 的學術文獻廣為引用，於其學術生涯組別登上首2%之 列。本校的創新成果亦廣受讚譽，在國際發明及創新比 賽中得到二十一項殊榮。 研究撥款 本年度，教大共獲「優配研究金」、「傑出青年學者計劃」 以及「人文學及社會科學傑出學者計劃」撥出逾二千萬 港元資助。本校在教育領域再佔鰲頭，所獲資助項目 數量及撥款總額均為本地大學之首。連同新增項目， 本校學術團隊現正進行一百七十九項研究，總撥款額逾 一億四千八百萬港元，獲資助研究範疇廣泛，包括教 育、社會科學、心理及語言學，以及人文學及藝術。 Professor Wong Ming-hung 黃銘洪教授 Professor Wong Ming-hung, Advisor (Environmental Science), was elected a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA) in recognition of his sustained outstanding contributions.
