An integrated curriculum approach has been adopted and incorporated into different domains of university studies, including the mandatory General Education Foundation Course. Students of teacher education programmes, in particular, are required to take core courses to strengthen their national security knowledge before school placement. Regarding the Basic Law, a resource platform was launched in December 2021 to facilitate students’ preparations for the Basic Law test. During the year, over 2,400 students attended related talks and workshops, as well as accessing the online platform to enhance knowledge of the Basic Law and national security education. Travel far and wide Following the easing of pandemic-related travel restrictions, the University gradually resumed outbound and inbound exchange activities in 2021-22. Over 60 EdUHK students went to our partner universities in the mainland, Japan, the United States, and a number of European countries for semester-long exchange programmes, and 54 exchange students from different parts of the world joined the EdUHK family for studies and cultural immersion.
