Policy Dialogue Series – Prof. Alfred Chan Cheung-ming Visits HKIEd

The Policy Dialogue Series is a regular forum series organised by the Department of Asian and Policy Studies (APS). As guest speaker, Chair Professor of Social Gerontology and Director of Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies, Lingnan University, Prof. Alfred Chan Cheung-ming addressed a forum at The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) on 1 April 2015 with academics, students and members of the public. The topic of discussion was on the 「New Trends and Strategies in Elder Care: Cross Disciplines, Cross Sectors and Cross Age Collaborations.

Prof. Chan sat on various advisory bodies of the HKSAR Government such as Chairperson of the Elderly Commission, Member of the Steering Committee on Population Policy, Member of the Minimum Wage Commission, Member of the Task Force of the Social Security and Retirement Security, Member of the Hospital Authority Review Steering Committee of Food and Health Bureau, and Member of the Commission on Poverty.
