Journal of Asian Public Policy (JAPP), co-edited by Dr Alex Jingwei He of the Education University of Hong Kong, has been recently promoted to the prestigious Social Science Citation Index (SSCI). The Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), which runs the SSCI, notes that JAPP continues to perform well in academic rigor and research impact. Admitted to the Area Studies category, the Journal will receive its first impact factor next June, while its SSCI coverage starts from 2018 issues.
Founded in 2008 by Prof Ka Ho Mok, former Vice President (Research and Development) of the then Hong Kong Institute of Education, JAPP has been a prominent academic journal for the international public policy research community. Every year, it receives hundreds of submissions from all continents on topics related to Asia. The Journal’s rising reputation has been recognized by Web of Science that included JAPP into its Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in 2017, and now to SSCI.
Dr Alex Jingwei He, Associate Professor of the Department of Asian and Policy Studies, started to serve as the Associate Editor of JAPP since 2014. In the coming years, he will work closely with the editorial team to bring the Journal to a new height.
Journal of Asian Public Policy is published by Routledge of the Taylor and Francis Group in London, one of the worlds’ leading publishers of social science journals. The Journal can be viewed at https://www.tandfonline.com/loi/rapp20.
