Dr Kris Hartley, the Programme Leader of Bachelor of Social Sciences in Policy Science and Management, welcome students to join the programme.
Welcome to the Bachelor of Social Sciences in Policy Science and Management. We appreciate your interest in our program.
I think we can all agree that these are important times in the field of public policy. From public health crises and international trade disputes to the high cost of housing right here in Hong Kong, policymakers must confront complex problems with rationality, competence, and empathy.
I invite you to join us as we explore solutions to these and other policy challenges. The Bachelor of Social Sciences in Policy Science and Management not only provides a broad policy sciences education, but also offers rigorous training in methods and analysis, multiple pathways for specialisation, and opportunities for practice-based immersion for core policy issues. You’ll be trained to understand policy problems, offer deep analysis of those problems, and assume leadership in making better policy visions come to life.
At the Department of Asian and Policy Studies, a creative and ambitious group of scholars is creating something special – a community of learners and future leaders that will make a local and global impact. We look forward to seeing you on campus soon. Thank you again for your interest, and be well.
