The appointee will be responsible for developing and managing internship programmes within the Department of Asian and Policy Studies (APS) and for the design of experiential learning field trips for students in the Department’s programmes. Internship management duties include: recruitment of internship organizations in Hong Kong and overseas, site visits to students conducting their internship and liaising with internship organizations and key contact persons, alignment of students interests/ skills/ and potential career pathways with internship partner organizations, preparing students for career pathways including resume writing workshops and developing student interview skills, career counselling and preparation, student skill assessment for internship partnering. The appointment will be for a period of 1 year with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
The position is ideally suited to an experienced professional with a Human Resource background. Previous experience in a higher education context or in a learning and professional development role within an organization would be advantageous. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree with several years of relevant post-qualification work experience, high proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and be capable of working independently and to strict time-lines.
