Policy Seminar – Housing Policy in Hong Kong

Dr. Lee Siu-yau, Assistant Professor and Programme Leader of the Bachelor of Social Science Education (Honours)(Greater China Studies) [BSocScEd(GCS)] with the Department of Asian and Policy Studies (APS) was invited by the St. Paul’s Secondary School on 7 July 2017 to deliver a talk on housing policy to over 100 secondary school students and teachers. The talk covered Hong Kong’s housing issue and the Government’s policies in dealing with such issues as record high applications in public rental housing, steep property prices, small living spaces and subdivided flats.

The speaking engagement is part of the Department’s regular policy seminar that is delivered to schools in Hong Kong to keep students abreast of policy issues that is impacting their society.
