Mr. Carlos Cheung Ka-fai

Mr. Carlos Cheung Ka-fai is a Lecturer with the Department of Asian and Policy Studies (APS) of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (FLASS) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). He received his MPhil in Communication and MA in Global Communication from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He obtained his BSSc in Communication (Public Relations & Advertising) in the Hong Kong Baptist University. Before joining the Department of Asian and Policy Studies, Mr. Cheung taught at the Community College of City University, Hong Kong.

Mr. Cheung's main research interests include television studies, popular culture, and media policy. He is currently conducting research on the representation of modernity in localized reality TV shows and the maintenance of cultural identity among the younger generation audience in Southern China.
