Dr. Willy Huang Kai-wai

Dr. Willy Huang Kai-wai is a Lecturer with the Department of Asian and Policy Studies (APS) of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (FLASS) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). He is currently the Bachelor of Social Science Education (Hons)(Greater China Studies) [BSocScEd(GCS)] Programme Honours Project Coordinator. He earned his MPhil in Economics from the Lingnan University, Hong Kong and his PhD in Economics from the University of Birmingham, U.K. Before pursuing his PhD study, he was a Research Assistant at the Lingnan University, Hong Kong. He also has solid teaching experiences in courses such as Labour Economics and Econometrics for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Hong Kong and the U.K.

Dr. Huang's research interest focuses on labour economics (wage and employment differentials, unemployment and employment duration and elderly employment) and microeconomics (income mobility and inequality). He is currently writing papers on delayed retirement in Hong Kong and Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) issues.
