The appointee will be responsible for providing research support to the Principal Investigator on research projects addressing work-life balance and SMEs in Hong Kong. Major duties include literature review and quantitative data analysis. The appointment will be for a period of around 18 months with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a higher degree with a background of statistics, social work, psychology, computer engineering with an interest in mobile applications development and social issues. For the post of Senior Research Assistant, applicants should have a Master’s Degree with at least one year post-Master’s degree full-time working experience or a Doctorate. They should also be experienced in the full range of research skills including project planning and management, development of smartphone applications for questionnaire distribution, literature review, data collection, data entry, management and analysis of quantitative data, and research report writing. Experience / knowledge of using Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA), being familiar with intervention studies in social sciences, and with some knowledge on Hong Kong SMEs and work-life balance issues will be advantages.
