HKIEd Study: On Public Support for Vocational Education in Hong Kong

The Steering Committee on Population Policy released a report in January 2015 entitled “Population Policy: Strategies and Initiatives”. One initiative proposed is to encourage more youths to attend vocational education to increase Hong Kong’s labour force to maintain its competitiveness. Consequently, Dr. Lee Siu-yau, Assistant Professor of the Department of Asian and Policy Studies (APS) at The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) set out to understand the public’s attitude towards vocational education in its development in Hong Kong.
