APS Academic Staff Awarded Faculty Dean’s Research Prize
Dr. Alex He Jingwei and Dr. Lee Siu-yau of the Department of Asian and Policy Studies were awarded the Dean’s Research Impact Prize and Research Output Prize of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, respectively, on 6 September 2017 at the Faculty’s First Assembly.
Dr. He’s series of research publications on China’s health care reform were extensively cited in a high-profile report jointly published by the World Health Organization, the World Bank and the Chinese Government in 2016, in which the impact of his research was highly recognized. Dr. Lee won the prize by his research article published by The China Quarterly, a leading international journal in China studies. Titled “Surviving Online Censorship in China: Three Satirical Tactics and their Impact”, this article was published in 2016 and has attracted wide academic attention.
