Abstract:

A handhold electronic insect catcher is easy to be found and inexpensive to buy in the supermarket. This paper is to introduce the application of the handhold electronic insect catcher in teaching electromagnetism at the level of university physics. Relevant principles include breakdown voltage, capacitance and dielectric materials, and Faraday's Law.
