Enhancing Creativity of Elementary Science Teachers - a preliminary study

Goals

To encounter these problems in Hong Kong, a special program is developed. It aims at enhancing teacher's creativity (including their creative attitudes and abilities) in designing science practical work with the use of everyday materials. The program has both affective and cognitive objectives. The affective objectives are to enable teachers to have higher motivations, confidence, interests, values in self-developing experiments with everyday materials. Besides, this program also attempts to develop teachers' divergent thinking abilities in designing experiments, through practicing some creativity-enhancing strategies.
