A New Chapter in Leadership Development: Successful Commencement of the Aspiring Principals Programme in 2025-26

2026-01-26

The Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change (APCLC) is proud to announce the successful commencement of its latest intake for the Aspiring Principals Programme in 2025-26.

Authorised by the Education Bureau, this programme supports Aspiring Principals in fulfilling key requirements for the mandatory "Certification for Principalship" (CFP), specifically the Needs Analysis (NA) and the "Preparation for Principalship" (PFP) course. It is designed for leaders at all levels of schools, particularly those aspiring to a principalship.

Following the successful completion of the first NA class on 6 December 2025, we are delighted to report strong engagement in our recent January intake, with two classes now successfully underway. Participants have embarked on this essential journey to enhance the professionalism and develop the strategic capabilities of school leaders required for becoming school principals.

The programme team has united academics from the EdUHK and esteemed serving or emeritus principals and garnered very positive feedback for its well-balanced approach. One participant noted, “The programme has helped me clarify my leadership goals and better understand the competencies needed for future school leadership. The guidance and feedback have been invaluable to my professional growth.”

This successful launch highlights APCLC's commitment to fostering leadership excellence within the education sector.
