On September 19, Dr. LU Jiafang, Acting Co-Director of the Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change (APCLC) at The Education University of Hong Kong, visited the Department of Education Management at East China Normal University (ECNU) for a seminar jointly organized by the two units. The seminar, chaired by Dr. Liu Shengnan (ECNU), featured a presentation by Dr. Paul Armstrong (Manchester Institute of Educdation) on Critical Education Leadership and Policy.

Serving as discussant, Dr. LU reflected on the theoretical and methodological implications of Critical Education Leadership and Policy Scholarship for research in Greater China. After the seminar, Dr Lu also engaged with Dr Armstrong, ECNU faculty members and research postgraduate students with regard to the theoretical and methodological implications of Critical Education Leadership and Policy Scholarship to educational leadership and policy research in greater China context.

During the visit, Dr Lu also attended a meeting with Prof Hu Yaozong, Head of Department of Education Management, Dr Paul Armstrong and Dr Liu Shenghen and discussed research collaborations with researchers in three institutions.
