Founded in 1950, Tamkang University (TKU) has four campuses (the Tamsui
Campus, the Taipei Campus, the Lanyang Campus, and the Cyber Campus) and 8
colleges, with a total of over 27,000 students, more than 2,100 faculty and staff
members, and over 240,000 alumni.

TKU is a university of ideals, vision, and creativity. It sees the pursuit of
excellence and ongoing innovation as the primary means of achieving
sustainable management. TKU has focused on developing academic research,
teaching, and learning services with an innovative spirit. In 1992, it became the
first university in Taiwan to employ Total Quality Management (TQM). In 2009, it
received the prestigious National Quality Award.

TKU employs innovative strategies to promote the Three Circles and Five
Disciplines of Education. The ?hree Circles??refer to TKU? professional
curriculum, core curriculum, and extracurricular curriculum, while the ?ive
Disciplines of Education??include conduct, intelligence, physical education,
teamwork, and beauty. TKU has nurtured academic growth through its ?riple
Objectives of Education,??which refers to globalization, information-oriented
education, and future-oriented education. With its motto of ?implicity,
