Professor Christopher Chapman PhD is Co-Director of the Robert Owen Centre for
Educational Change at the University of Glasgow and also of What Works
Scotland, a major 瞿3m three year ESRC/Government funded programme of
research exploring public service reform. Professor Chapman has led over 50
research projects for research councils, charities, governments and other
funders. He is also a Senior Academic Advisor to Scottish Government and a
member of the First Minister? International Council of Education Advisors.

He is a key architect of collaborative approaches to system reform including-
Making Educational Work for All and the School Improvement Partnership
Programme. He has over 100 publications in the areas of leadership,
improvement and change including External Intervention for School
Improvement (2005) and Leading School Based Networks (2010) and
the Routledge International Handbook of Educational Effectiveness and
Improvement (2016).
