Prof Andy Hargreaves shares vision on
Leading from the Middle: New Strategies for Educational Change
Over 90 staff, students and school principals logged into Zoom and packed into a crammed EdUHK lecture theatre today to listen to leading international Professor Andy Hargreaves present his ideas on Leading from the Middle: New Strategies for Educational Change.
Professor Hargreaves, the Visiting Professor at the University of Ottawa in Canada and Research Professor at Boston College in the US, argued that schools and school networks have unique powers to initiate, implement and diffuse large-scale change that benefits many students in many schools.
“Leading from the middle is about moving those ideas into concrete practice and making a positive difference, for all your students and for all your staff so that everybody just loves their learning environment,” said Professor Hargreaves. "We can promote a culture of collaborative professionalism to achieve a greater impact."
The event was co-organised by FEHD, APCLC and EPL.
