Towards Better English Language Teaching:
Success Strategies for Partnership in Educational Outsourcing & Teaching English in a Multilingual Context

The Department of Education Policy and Leadership and The Joseph Lau Luen Hung Charitable Trust Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change of The Education University of Hong Kong (hereafter EdUHK) extend a warm invitation to a public forum titled Towards Better English Language Teaching: Success Strategies for Partnership in Educational Outsourcing & Teaching English in a Multilingual Context.

The forum concerns the wider issues of equity and collaboration with third-parties, illustrated by issues in English language teaching. Educators interested in following will find this forum useful:

  * Equitable education for students with diverse backgrounds (e.g., non-Chinese speaking students)
  * Transitions between Chinese and English medium of instruction
  * Understand how school factors and broader contexts affect effective teaching in Finland and Hong Kong; and
  * Advance the current practices through extensive result dissemination and professional development workshops.

The forum, informed by a four-year research project, will be an arena where different parties and stakeholders, including schools, educational service providers, and academics can share views and experiences. We hope to meet you at the event!
