Dialogue Sessions with Distinguished Leaders:
Mr Antony Leung Speaking on Impact of Globalisation
Addressing a dialogue session at the campus of The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) today (23 April), Mr Antony Leung, former Financial Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of Nan Fung Group, shared his insights and tips for youngsters in equipping themselves in the face of highly competitive and globalised economies.
Themed “Tips for the Youth: How to Deal with the Impact of Globalisation”, the forum attracted more than 100 HKIEd academics, students as well as members of the public, providing a platform for an exchange of views on the challenges and opportunities for the youth in the context of globalisation.
The forum is one of the signature events organised by HKIEd in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The dialogue series feature top government officials, educators, eminent scholars and community leaders who will share their insights into various socioeconomic issues. Apart from Mr Antony Leung, other guest speakers included Chief Secretary for Administration Mrs Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor and Secretary for Home Affairs Mr Tsang Tak-sing. Among others, former Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Professor Frederick Ma, first Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority Mr Joseph Yam, Secretary for Transport and Housing and former President of HKIEd Professor Anthony B. L. Cheung, and Chairman of Hopewell Holdings and Honorary Doctor of HKIEd Sir Gordon Wu will be the guest speakers in the upcoming dialogue sessions.
