Description

The Minor in Specialized Themes in Early Years Education is designed to equip students with the specialized knowledge of children’s development and education from birth to eight years in the following areas: language and literacy; mathematics and science; creativity and aesthetics; health and well-being ; and special education needs.

Career / Study Progression

Offers opportunities for students who pursue a career in early childhood settings such as playgroups, publication companies, after school activities centres etc.

Students interested in further study after graduation may be able to continue the Master’s programmes in the field of education, psychology and special education, such as the Master of Education (Area of Focus in Early Childhood Education), the Master of Social Sciences in Psychology (Schools and Community Settings), the Master of Arts in Educational Counselling, as well as the Master of Science in Educational Speech-Language Pathology and Learning Disabilities offered by EdUHK.
