Counselling Ethics

This course examines ethical, legal and professional issues related to the practices and researches in counselling. Contemporary and indigenous ethical decision dilemmas will be analyzed along with professional codes, standards of practice and legal considerations. Students are required to integrate materials from lectures, readings, class discussions and presentations, and guided independent project. They are also expected to critically review and reflect on their personal beliefs and values, and the current practices in counselling from an ethical point of view.
