Miss Yeung Shuk-yee and Miss Lee So-kuen from TWGHs Ko Teck Kin Memorial Kindergarten developed a school-based arts curriculum. The curriculum connected teaching across six learning areas to foster all-round development for children.

With the skillful use of picture books, they reinvented student learning experiences. Unlike usual reading classes they blend dancing, singing and the visual arts together for students.  By seamlessly interweaving cross-disciplinary studies lessons were no longer bound by subjects. Students were given greater room to exercise their creativity, fully stretch their bodies, and express themselves.

Miss Natalie Chan always tries to think out of the box and go the extra mile. She thinks drawing and singing are not merely arts but a form of counselling. She works hand in hand with the parents to teach non-Chinese speaking children. Her students showed remarkable progress thanks to the greater parental involvement in their studies. In response to children with special educational needs, she embraces early identification and early intervention.
