Many local dailies reported that Tsung Tsin Think Academy (TTTA), which was shut down by the Education Bureau earlier due to its failure to properly register the school’s name, decided to continue to run secondary classes in the name of Tsung Tsin Middle School (TTMS). However, Tsung Tsin Middle School principal Tung Fuk said only half of about 60 affected secondary pupils showed up when classes resumed yesterday (19 November).
Besides, Apple Daily found the courses jointly run by TTMS and Oxford International College might have violated the laws. Mr Chong Yiu Kwong, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Education Policy and Leadership, was quoted as saying that the Education Ordinance's definition of schools is quite broad. Oxford International College may face legal risks if it has joined the operation of the school and management of some programmes.
