Computational thinking is the thought processes involved in formulating a problem and expressing its solutions, so as to develop students’ problem solving skills. The 32 primary schools of CoolThink@JC program will deliver interesting Coding Workshops for students of P1-P6. Students in different stages of learning can have a chance to experience coding and learn its basic concept.
“Computational Thinking” has become a new element in the world’s outstanding education in recent years, and its importance is comparable to languages and mathematics. As the Parent Seminars are on the Father’s Day, we invited “Daddies” who had outstanding achievements in different fields to share how they used “computational thinking” as a new bridge for parent-child communication, and used their own experience to inspire parents to adapt and mastering this new trend of thought; In addition, there are panel discussion sessions which including school and parent representatives to share their experience and understanding on “computational thinking” education.
STEM is the abbreviation of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic, which integrates the four disciplines into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications. STEM education aims to arouse students’ interest in learning science, develop their skill set to apply knowledge in the real-world, as well as inspire their innovative thinking. A series of STEM workshops are prepared for you. Come and join us!

Different kind of STEM-related products and demonstration will be delivered by STEM partners. Don’t miss the chance to stimulate children’s creativity!

Coding Fair is composed of FUN! Children can enjoy wonderful moments when playing bouncy castle, maze and model car.

Redeem micro:bit

What is micro:bit?
The pocket-sized micro:bit measures 4 x 5 cm, which is a powerful handheld, fully programmable device designed by the BBC and a number of partners to encourage children to get actively involved in writing software and building new things. micro:bit is designed to be fun and easy to use. The micro:bit website provides various teaching materials and resources for you to utilize the full potential of a micro:bit.

How to redeem a micro:bit?
Register online for below 3 designated activities (at least one session for each) on the same day.

When completed each designated session on the event day, our staff will put a s tamp on your ticket. You will be eligible to redeem a micro:bit at souvenir counter (next to registration counter) once have collected 3 different stamps.
Points to note
  1. Redemption of micro:bit is available on 16 & 17 June (Sat-Sun) only.
  2. Redemption of micro:bit is for participants aged 4-12 only, accompanied by a parent / guardian.
  3. Each participant can redeem once only.
  4. Due to the limited stock, redemption of micro:bit will be on a first come first serve basis.
  5. The organizer reserves the rights of final decision under all circumstances.
