ECE English Four 

  1. Synopsis 

This course aims to equip students with the English language skills of writing and speaking required in Early Childhood Education (ECE). It is an intermediate course which helps students to develop their language competence for communicating effectively in daily workplace contexts. 

 

 

  1. Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOs) 

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 

CILO1 

 

Apply effective communicative skills and a range of language functions in the workplace context of ECE. 

CILO2 

 

Demonstrate the ability to write workplace correspondence in the context of ECE. 

CILO3 

 

Demonstrate the ability to give persuasive presentations in the workplace context of ECE. 

CILO4 

 

Develop and demonstrate independent learning and study skills.
