Welcome to the Centre for Language in Education (CLE)!
As a hub for professional development and services for language learning in The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), CLE is committed to enhancing students’ biliterate (Chinese and English) and trilingual (Cantonese, Putonghua, and English) competencies in their pursuit of academic and professional excellence. The support and services provided by CLE are geared towards the needs of all our students from different backgrounds. We strive to create a multilingual and multicultural environment for language learners through a variety of measures, including language enhancement curriculum, extra-curricular learning activities, and self-access language resources. These learning opportunities will develop students’ language and communication skills that not only can help to enhance their performance and success in academia and future careers, but also promise greater confidence and stronger advantages as they explore the wider world beyond campus.
