Abstract

This paper summarizes the experience gained from a project learning activity for primary six students. The activity was one of the initiatives of the "Assessment for Student Science Learning" project working in collaboration with a local primary school. The activity is to let students create a new organism and its living environment based on second-hand information of living things collected from different information resources. The paper describes the process of implementing project learning as well as the considerations for designing and conducting project learning. The paper also included some suggested teaching materials, such as student worksheets and evaluation forms.
