Abstract

This study is based on the analysis of 38 research papers presented in the 2010 Global Chinese Conference on Science Education to identify the development of biology education research in four different Chinese societies: Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. According to the comparative analysis, we can find some common features in research studies among these four places. Nevertheless, there are differences in research methodology between Mainland China and the other three places, such as: research content, method, and the background of researcher. The differences are worthy of our attentions and considerations.
