Abstract

Using different instructional materials adapted within the constructivist learning theory will enhance students’ conceptual understanding. From this point of view, an instructional instrument using a concept cartoon adapted with 5E model has developed and introduced in this study. The study has some deficiencies in investigating students’ conceptual understanding about the topic, but further research should be undertaken in order to investigate its effectiveness in a comparative manner.
