Dr Darren Bryant, Associate Director of APCLC, will conduct a Learning Seminar on ‘Exploring the Link Between Student Participation in the International Baccalaureate Continuum and Student Learning Outcomes’ for EdUHK Faculty and students on December 16, 2016. Details of the seminar below:

Date: December 16, 2016
Time: 12:30 to 1:30pm
Venue: B4-LP-10, Tai Po Campus, EdUHK
Registration / Enquiries: Tel: 2948 8476 or ayfchan@eduhk.hk (Mr. Aaron Chan)

About the Seminar:

Given the rapid growth in the number of students completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program (DP) world wide, and the potential for students to be educated entirely through IB programmes, it is important to understand associations between programme participation and cognitive and non-cognitive learning outcomes.

Through a mixed methods study, this research considers evidence derived from DP examinations, a newly designed and validated student questionnaire results, and in-depth case studies to uncover and examine plausible explanations for such associations.

This research was conducted with Professor Allan Walker and Professor Moosung LEE. It was a project of the APCLC.
